I'm Abdullah Malik, a software engineer in London. I like turning a real problem into something people can use, and then looking after it.
My work
I spent six years at Dojo (opens in a new tab), working in fintech and payments across billing, cloud and event-driven systems, then a year at BCB Group as a senior full-stack engineer. In February 2026 I joined Deliveroo (opens in a new tab).
Outside work, I build my own products. The biggest is Nozzle, a free fuel and EV price app for iPhone and Android, which I build and run myself. I also build for organisations around me: the Al Inshirah Foundation's website, with its donations and receipts, was a pro bono project for a community charity in Woking.

How I work
Start with the person using it
Al Inshirah's site speaks five languages because its community does. Nozzle works without an account, and without your location if you'd rather not share it.
Respect people's privacy
No ads, no tracking, and no accounts unless they're really needed. That goes for my apps and for this site.
Look after it after launch
A lot of the real work starts once something is live: keeping Nozzle's prices fresh every day, and handling the edge cases in Al Inshirah's donations.

About this site
